COMMON USES FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of ACUTE LOWER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS
2- For the treatment of ACUTE UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS
3- For the treatment of mild to moderate ACUTE SINUSITIS
4- For the treatment of OTITIS MEDIA (SUPPURATIVE AND UNSPECIFIED)
5- For the treatment of mild to moderate OTITIS MEDIA (SUPPURATIVE AND
UNSPECIFIED)
6- For the treatment of LOCAL INFECTIONS OF SKIN AND SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE
7- For the treatment of ACUTE GONORRHEA OF LOWER GU TRACT (URETHRITIS
VULVOVAGINITIS)
8- For the treatment of uncomplicated URINARY TRACT INFECTION
9- For the treatment of ACUTE PHARYNGITIS
10- For the treatment of ACUTE TONSILLITIS
It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* Take with food or milk to increase absorption.
* To help clear up your infection completely FINISH COURSE OF THERAPY even
if your condition has improved.
* DO NOT skip doses or discontinue unless directed by your doctor.
* DO NOT take ANTACIDS containing magnesium or aluminum or preparations
containing iron or zinc within TWO hours of taking this medicine.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place. Refrigerate
liquid forms and discard unused portion.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Severe allergic reaction; Swelling usually of face or lips.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Diarrhea; Jerkings of face trunk or extremities.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea; Vomiting; Headache; Dizziness; Skin rash; Chills; Constipation;
Fever; Muscle weakness; Stomach discomfort or pain; Bowel inflammation;
Vaginal fungal infections.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A
HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
* shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women.
