"BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : HEART CONDITION or
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE; GLAUCOMA; DIABETES; THYROID problem.
COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For long-term maintenance treatment and prevention bronchospasm in
patients with ASTHMA
2- For the prevention of exercise induced bronchospasm associated with ASTHMA
3- For long-term maintenance treatment and prevention bronchospasm in
patients with CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE [COPD] NOS
It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* Follow proper INHALATION TECHNIQUE according to instructions provided with
your medicine. Rinse mouth with water after each use.
* Patient should read specific ""PATIENT INFORMATION"" provided with this
medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is
renewed.
* This medicine is NOT meant to relieve ACUTE asthmatic symptoms which
should be treated with inhaled short-acting bronchodilator (e.g. albuterol).
* DO NOT EXCEED recommended dosage; excessive use may lead to adverse effects
or loss of effectiveness. Do not adjust the dose unless instructed.
* DO NOT CHANGE BRANDS without consulting the physician or pharmacist.
* Do not decrease the dose or stop taking any other prescribed medicines for
this condition unless instructed by your physician.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
If you miss a dose take when remembered as long as doses are separated by
approximately 12 hours. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Headache; Shakiness; Irregular heartbeat; Dizziness; Rapid heart rate.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Nasal cavity/sinus discomfort; Inflammation of the pharynx; Cough; Nasal
congestion; Respiratory infection; Diarrhea; Dry throat; Heartburn; Nausea;
Nervousness; Vomiting.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A
HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
