"BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : KIDNEY DISEASE;
LIVER PROBLEMS; DIABETES; HEART CONDITION or HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE; EPILEPSY.
COMMON USES FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with
MENOPAUSE
2- For the maintenance treatment of OVARIAN FAILURE (PRIMARY PREMATURE
MENOPAUSE OTHER)
3- For the maintenance treatment of FEMALE HYPOGONADISM / OTHER OVARIAN
DYSFUNCTION
4- For the palliative therapy of CARCINOMA IN BREAST
5- For the palliative therapy of CARCINOMA IN PROSTATE
6- For the prevention of OSTEOPOROSIS
7- For the treatment of mild to moderate POSTMENOPAUSAL ATROPHIC VAGINITIS in
postmenopausal women.
It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* This medicine can be taken with or without food REGARDLESS of meal times.
If stomach upset occurs take with food.
* Patient should read specific ""PATIENT INFORMATION"" provided with this
medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is
renewed.
* Pretreatment and periodic physical exams should include breast pelvic
organs and Pap smear. You should keep doctors and laboratory appointments.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Clotting within a blood vessel.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Yellowing of eyes or skin; Depression; Stomach discomfort or pain; Migraine;
Visual disturbances.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Fluid retention; Nausea; Skin inflammation; High blood pressure; Bloating;
Diarrhea; Indigestion; Dizziness; Difficulty falling asleep; Vomiting;
Itching; Headache.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* This medicine is CONTRAINDICATED for use during pregnancy. CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* Notify doctor of signs of BLOOD CLOT (pain in the groin or calves chest
pain shortness of breath severe headache dizziness vision disturbance)
* Because of INTERACTIONS report the use of any other prescription or
nonprescription medicines including natural/herbal remedies to yo"
