BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
COMMON USES FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of LACK OF EXPECTED NORMAL PHYSIOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT in
children who have growth failure caused by a lack of adequate endogenous
growth hormone secretion
2- For the treatment of OTHER SYMPTOMS CONCERNING NUTRITION METABOLISM AND
DEVELOPMENT in adults.
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* To reconstitute SWIRL DO NOT SHAKE.
* As with all parenteral products DO NOT USE if the solution is discolored
or contains particulate matter.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
If you miss a dose you should contact your doctor to find out what to do.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
The reconstituted solution should be stored under refrigeration
(2?-8?C/36?-46?F) for up to 14 days. Avoid freezing.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Reduced thyroid function; High blood sugar level; Fluid balance distubances;
Injection site reaction; Exacerbation of psoriasis; Jerkings of face trunk
or extremities; Chest pain; Carpal tunnel syndrome; Depression; Swelling of
feet or lower legs; Difficulty falling asleep; Nausea; Dizziness; Burning
pain tingling or numbness; Upper respiratory infection; Muscle pain; Nasal
congestion; Back pain; Flu-like symptoms; Swelling of the extremities;
Headache; Joint pain.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women.
NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* INTRACRANIAL HEMORRHAGE with papilledema visual changes headache nausea
and/or vomiting has been reported. Notify MD immediately.
* This medicine may increase BLOOD SUGAR levels in diabetics dose adjustment
of diabetes medicine may be necessary.
* It is important that you keep your follow-up appointments with your doctor.
* DO NOT take this medication if you are pregnant or intend to become
pregnant.
* Notify your doctor if you are a nursing mother before breast-feeding your
baby.
