FLUCONAZOLE TABLET 150MG

BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : KIDNEY DISEASE.
COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of CANDIDIASIS FUNGAL INFECTION
2- To reduce the incidence/risk of CANDIDIASIS FUNGAL INFECTION in patients
undergoing bone marrow transplantation who receive cytotoxic chemotherapy or
radiation.
3- For the treatment of FUNGAL (YEAST) INFECTION OF VAGINA AND FEMALE
GENITAL AREA
4- For the treatment of CANDIDAL URINARY TRACT INFECTION
5- For the treatment of FUNGAL (YEAST) INFECTION OF THE MOUTH (Oral Thrush)
6- For the treatment of CANDIDIASIS DISSEMINATED
7- For the treatment of CANDIDAL ENTERITIS
8- For the treatment of CANDIDIASIS OF LUNG
9- For the treatment of FUNGAL INFECTION OF THE ESOPHAGUS
10- For the treatment of CRYPTOCOCCAL MENINGITIS
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* This medicine can be taken with or without food REGARDLESS of meal times.
If stomach upset occurs take with food.
* Use this medicine for the full prescribed treatment period.
* Continue treatment until clinical and laboratory tests no longer indicate
presence of ACTIVE INFECTION to avoid early recurrence of clinical symptoms.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Severe allergic reaction.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Skin rash; Yellowing of eyes or skin.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Nausea; Headache; Diarrhea; Stomach discomfort or pain; Vomiting; Dizziness;
Change in taste.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A
HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
* shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
* Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine
SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk
to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
* Notify doctor of any signs suggesting LIVER problems (eg unusual fatigue
loss of appetite nausea vomiting yellowing of eyes dark urine).
