BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : KIDNEY DISEASE;
SEIZURES; HEART CONDITION or HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE; GLAUCOMA; PROSTATE problem;
THYROID problem; DIABETES; ASTHMA; CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE
(COPD); PEPTIC ULCER.
COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of COUGH
2- For the treatment of ALLERGIC RHINITIS
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* Take this medicine on an EMPTY stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after
meals. If stomach upset occurs take with food.
* This medicine should be taken WITH a full glass of water (6-8oz).
* Swallow whole unless otherwise directed by your physician. DO NOT crush or
chew sustained release preparations.
* DO NOT EXCEED recommended dosage; excessive use may lead to adverse effects
or loss of effectiveness. Do not adjust the dose unless instructed.
* If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by a high
fever consult your physician before continuing use.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Jerkings of face trunk or extremities; Shakiness; Blurred vision; Irregular
heartbeat; Shortness of breath; Skin rash; Dizziness; High blood pressure;
Vomiting; Respiratory infection; Back pain; Inflammation of the pharynx;
Nervousness; Difficulty falling asleep; Difficult and painful menstruation;
Sore throat; Diarrhea; Paleness.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Headache; Jitteriness; Anxiety; Nausea; Difficult urination; Restlessness;
Stomach discomfort or pain; Flu-like symptoms; Drowsiness; Dry mouth;
Indigestion; Sleepiness; Unusual tiredness or weakness.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A
HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
