"BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or

COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the maintenance treatment of HIV-1 INFECTION (HIV is the virus
responsible for AIDS and related symptoms)
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* This medicine can be taken with or without food REGARDLESS of meal times.
If stomach upset occurs take with food.
* Patient should read specific ""PATIENT INFORMATION"" provided with this
medicine before starting treatment and each time their prescription is
renewed.
* This medicine is NOT A CURE. Patients need long-term management.
* Use this medicine for the full prescribed treatment period.
* Your doctor should check your progress at REGULAR VISITS to make sure this
medicine is working properly and to check for unwanted effects.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Stomach discomfort or pain; Muscle weakness; Chills; Nausea; Numbness or
tingling in hands and feet; Skin rash; Vomiting; Difficulty breathing; Liver
toxicity (yellow eyes or skin); Lactic acidosis; Fever.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Headache; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Cough; Muscle pain; Difficulty
falling asleep; Dizziness; High blood sugar level; Neuromyopathy; Diarrhea;
Itching; Burning pain tingling or numbness; Breathing difficulty; Anemia;
Decreased appetite; Nasal cavity/sinus discomfort.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine
SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk
to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
* Taking this medicine does not eliminate the risk of TRANSMISSION OF
INFECTION to others through sexual contact or blood contamination.
* Because of INTERACTIONS report the use of any other prescription or
nonprescription medicines including natural/herbal remedies to your doctor.
* This medicine may cause BLOOD PROBLEMS resulting in certain infections
slow healing and gum bleeding. Be careful when toothbrushing and flossing.
* It is important that your doctor monitors your BLOOD CELL COUNTS at regular
intervals.
