BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : KIDNEY DISEASE;
PEPTIC ULCER.
COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For Prophylaxis against KIDNEY TRANSPLANT REJECTION
2- For Prophylaxis against HEART TRANSPLANT REJECTION
3- For Prophylaxis against LIVER TRANSPLANT REJECTION
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* Swallow whole unless otherwise directed by your physician. DO NOT crush or
chew sustained release preparations.
* SHAKE suspension well before using.
* Take this medicine on an EMPTY stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after the
ingestion of food.
* DO NOT TAKE WITH ANTACIDS; if antacids are required delay administration
by two hours.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place. Refrigerate
liquid forms and discard unused portion.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Unusual bleeding; Changes in urination frequency or amount; Bloody or dark
urine.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Urinary tract infection; High blood pressure; Generalized pain; Constipation;
Fever; Diarrhea; Headache; Abnormal blood cell count; Infection; Shakiness;
Dizziness; Urinary abnormality; Skin rash; High blood sugar level;
Bronchitis; Difficulty falling asleep; Acne; Fungal infection of mouth;
Inflammation of the pharynx; Abnormally low platelet count; Back pain;
Swelling of feet or lower legs; High cholesterol level; Chest pain; Vomiting;
Muscle weakness; Cough; Difficulty breathing; Indigestion; Nausea;
Respiratory infection; Stomach discomfort or pain; Anemia; Swelling of the
extremities.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* Safety of use during pregnancy has not been established. This medicine
SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY unless benefit justifies potential risk
to the fetus. CALL YOUR DOCTOR.
* Women of childbearing potential should use effective CONTRACEPTION during
and for 6 weeks following treatment.
* The effect of BIRTH CONTROL pills may be decreased while taking this
medicine. To prevent pregnancy use an additional form of birth control.
* Unless abstinence is chosen two forms of contraception must be used at the
same time.
* Notify your doctor if signs of INFECTION develops (eg fever sore throat
chills or unusual bruising or bleeding).
* This medicine may cause increased sensitivity to the sun. Yo
