BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : If you are
PREGNANT.
COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the management of ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* This medicine can be taken with or without food REGARDLESS of meal times.
If stomach upset occurs take with food.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching;
Severe allergic reaction.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Irregular heartbeat; Muscle cramps; Nausea; Unusual tiredness or weakness;
Dizziness; Drowsiness; Rapid heart rate; Burning pain tingling or numbness;
Swelling usually of face or lips; Chest pain; Difficulty swallowing;
Difficulty breathing; Swelling of feet or lower legs; Fever; Sore throat;
Diarrhea; Vomiting; Muscle weakness; Yellowing of eyes or skin; Severe skin
reactions.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Skin rash; Low blood pressure; Cough; Change in taste; Headache; Increased
sensitivity to sunlight; Feeling uncoordinated; Blurred vision; Confusion;
Depression; Indigestion; Impotence; Joint pain; Muscle pain; Dizziness when
getting up; Loss of consciousness (fainting); Decreased appetite; Decreased
sexual desire; Stomach discomfort or pain; Bloating; Constipation; Stomach or
intestinal irritation; Changes in urination frequency or amount; Protein
found in urine; Baldness; Dry mouth; Difficulty falling asleep; Itching;
Feeling of general discomfort.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women.
NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* This medicine may cause dizziness lightheadedness or fainting. Avoid
sudden changes in posture. BE CAREFUL and slowly sit up or stand up.
* AVOID concurrent use of alcohol or other CNS depressants as it may
intensify the drowsiness dizziness or lightheadedness effect of this
medicine.
* This medicine may cause increased levels of cholesterol and/or other
