AMOXICILLIN TRIHYDRATE CAPSULE 250MG

BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : KIDNEY DISEASE.
COMMON USES FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of ACUTE UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS
2- For the treatment of ACUTE LOWER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS
3- For the treatment of URINARY TRACT INFECTION
4- For the treatment of H. PYLORI INFECTION (HELICOBACTER PYLORI) in
combination with other agents.
5- For the treatment of LOCAL INFECTIONS OF SKIN AND SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE
6- For the treatment of ACUTE GONORRHEA OF LOWER GU TRACT (URETHRITIS
VULVOVAGINITIS)
Used to treat infections caused by bacteria in different parts of the body.
It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* Use this medicine for the full prescribed treatment period.
* This medicine can be taken with or without food REGARDLESS of meal times.
If stomach upset occurs take with food.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place. Refrigerate
liquid forms and discard unused portion.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Skin rash; Unusual bleeding or bruising.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Headache; Diarrhea; Nausea.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A
HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
* shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women.
NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* TELL YOUR DOCTOR if you have ever had any unusual or ALLERGIC reaction to
any of the CEPHALOSPORINS PENICILLINS or penicillin-like medicines.
* The effect of BIRTH CONTROL pills may be decreased while taking this
medicine. To prevent pregnancy use an additional form of birth control.
* To prevent drug resistance this medication should be used to treat
