BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : LIVER PROBLEMS; If
you are PREGNANT; If you are BREAST FEEDING.
COMMON USES FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For the treatment of ELEVATED TOTAL CHOLESTEROL AND LDL LEVELS as an
adjunct to diet.
2- To slow the process of ATHEROSCLEROSIS CORONARY as an adjunct to diet.
3- For the primary prevention of CARDIOVASCULAR / CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE as
an adjunct to diet.
4- For the treatment of ELEVATED TRIGLYCERIDES AND VLDL LEVELS as an adjunct
to diet.
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* A reduced-calorie DIET and increased physical activity are usually part of
the treatment regimen. Follow prescribed diet and exercise programs.
* Take once daily at bedtime.
* Swallow TABLETS whole; DO NOT cut crush or chew.
* This medicine can be taken with or without food.
* Regular testing of LIVER FUNCTION including liver enzyme levels in blood
is essential.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING THIS MEDICINE AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE SYMPTOMS BELOW):
Shortness of breath fast or irregular breathing fever joint pain fast
pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Muscle pain; Muscle weakness.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Stomach discomfort or pain; Back pain; Blurred vision; Diarrhea; Dizziness;
Flu-like symptoms; Headache; Infection; Joint pain; Inflammation of the
sinuses; Urinary tract infection.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A
HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms below):-
* Inform doctor if you have HEARING PROBLEMS. Periodic auditory function
tests may be necessary.

pulse lightheadedness or fainting swelling of face hives & itching.
* This medicine is CONTRAINDICATED for use during pregnancy. CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* The results of some MEDICAL or LAB tests may be affected by this medicine.
