BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE:
* Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or
non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines or have other medical
problems; pregnant planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
* Check with your Doctor Pharmacists or Nurse if information in this
leaflet causes you special concern or if you want additional information
about your medicine and its use.
* Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : LIVER PROBLEMS.
COMMON USE FOR THIS MEDICINE:
1- For long-term maintenance treatment and prevention ASTHMA
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE:
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label unless instructed
differently by your doctor
* Take this medicine on an EMPTY stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after the
ingestion of food.
* This medicine is NOT meant to relieve ACUTE asthmatic symptoms which
should be treated with inhaled short-acting bronchodilator (e.g. albuterol).
* Take regularly as prescribed even during symptom-free periods.
* Do not decrease the dose or stop taking any other prescribed medicines for
this condition unless instructed by your physician.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS A DOSE:
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
HOW TO STORE THIS MEDICINE:
Keep in original closed container in a dark cool and dry place away from
children. Discard unneeded medicine.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE:
Stomach discomfort or pain; Vomiting; Indigestion; Yellowing of eyes or skin;
Unusual tiredness or weakness.
OTHER SIDE EFFECTS:
Headache; Infection; Generalized pain; Diarrhea; Nausea; Dizziness; Muscle
weakness; Swelling usually of face or lips; Abnormal blood cell count;
Difficulty falling asleep; Itching; Joint pain; Liver problems; Feeling of
general discomfort; Muscle pain; Skin rash; Severe skin itching with patches;
Fever; Numbness or tingling in hands and feet.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome check with your
doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE CALL YOUR DOCTOR
IMMEDIATELY.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS:
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women.
NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become pregnant.
* Because of INTERACTIONS report the use of any other prescription or
nonprescription medicines including natural/herbal remedies to your doctor.
* Notify your doctor if you are a nursing mother before breast-feeding your
baby.
* Notify doctor of any signs suggesting LIVER problems (eg unusual fatigue
loss of appetite nausea vomiting yellowing of eyes dark urine).
